The Eugene Water & Electric Board, founded in 1911, is Oregon’s largest customer-owned utility and provides electricity and water to the Eugene community, as well as parts of East Springfield and the McKenzie River valley area. As a public utility, EWEB does not operate to earn a profit or to serve the investment needs of stockholders. Instead, it is chartered by the City of Eugene to serve the interests of its citizens.
Forrest Technical Coatings manufactures standard and specialized liquid and powder coatings for local and global manufacturers and distributors. Forrest’s most notable products are high temperature resistant coatings used in the wood and gas burning stove industry and beyond. To support the company’s culture of Lean and continuous improvement among employees and in the broader Eugene business community, Forrest was a founding member of EVLA and became ISO 9001:2015 certified in 2018.
FPW Media is a vertically integrated creative services agency specializing in film, brand, and merchandise production. FPW makes the impossible possible on a daily basis for its clients by offering a comprehensive range of services that connect the client's brand to their target audience. In January 2023, Hummingbird owners Charlie and Julie Tilt made a bold move by transitioning their ownership of the company to an Employee Owned Purpose Trust, securing and guiding the mission and values of the business into perpetuity. The Purpose Trust was established to serve as a co-creator of life-enhancing, inclusive, and healthy food systems for our regional and global community. The coworkers elect the Trust Committee which appoints the Board that oversees the CEO, who works with the Leadership Team and coworkers to carry out the business of serving our customers, building relationships with vendors, and supporting healthy farming outcomes.
